We are asking children from schools all around the country to design an anti-littering poster that builds on the theme of Clean for The Queen, litter and how society has changed over the course of the Queen’s reign.
The competition is open to pupils from all schools across the UK.
Please encourage the students in your school or class to use their imagination and think of a design that would make people stop and read their poster, with the ultimate aim of encouraging people to stop littering.
Designs can be from individual students or jointly produced by groups of students or whole classes.
Ensure each poster fits within the box on the poster template (available to download below). This competition will be open to all schools.
To enter the competition download the blank poster template here
Make a photocopy of your finished poster/s, keep the copy and then send the original (with the student/s or class name, the class teacher’s name, the school address and a contact phone number) to:
Clean for The Queen, School Competition, The Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf, Barge House St, London SE1 9PH
If you are sending entries from more than one student in a school or a class – then send all entries together in one envelope.
We will nominate two overall competition winners. The best poster (as judged by our panel of experts) will be turned into a professional billboard poster and displayed ay key locations around the country during the run up to March 2016. Plus we’re hoping (still to be confirmed) that the best overall entries received by a single school will win a visit from a real life Womble, together with the professionals from Helping Hand and your nation litter charity to help them with their own schools clean up.
In addition, with the support of our partners Helping Hand, we’ll be offering free clean-up kits to 20 runners up from schools around the country.
